Seeking Bilingual Spanish-English Immigration Legal Assistant

Shaklee & Oliver, PS: Immigration Law Firm is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant. Responsibilities (partial list):

  • Conducting preliminary client interviews
  • Recording client declarations
  • Preparing immigration petitions and applications
  • Preparing evidentiary submissions
  • Greeting and attending to clients and visitors
  • Answering and directing incoming calls, primarily in Spanish
  • Managing attorney calendars and scheduling client appointments
  • Providing occasional Spanish interpretation and translation assistance
  • Running errands, including filing submissions with the Seattle and Tacoma Immigration Courts

Qualifications:

  • Native-level Spanish and fluent English, including the ability to speak, read, and write in both languages
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Sensitivity, discretion, and a commitment to serving the immigrant community
  • Exceptional initiative
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Driver’s license preferred

Compensation:
